Our lead concierge, Kevin McQuade, has been a concierge in Charleston for over 25 years and is a member of the prestigious, international association of the world's best concierges, Les Clefs d'Or. "Most visitors only scratch the surface of Charleston," McQuade says, "they do a Ft. Sumter tour, visit a plantation, and go to the Battery, and think they've seen Charleston. What I like to do as a concierge is take the guests behind the curtain, dig beneath the surface, and help them to find the Charleston that's not in their guidebook. I will also be proactive and not be afraid to look at your proposed itinerary and let you know what is missing in your game plan of what to do while you're here. That is the difference between a good concierge and a great one."

After gaining experience in guest-facing roles within the restaurant industry, Alanna pursued a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and discovered her passion for creating meaningful experiences for others. She began her luxury hospitality career in 2019 as a concierge, where she quickly found her calling.
Over the past five years as Concierge Manager at Hotel Bennett, Alanna has dedicated herself to creating unforgettable guest experiences through personalized service, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine care. Her passion for hospitality continues to inspire her commitment to making every guest feel welcomed and valued.
